How to take a backup of your browser bookmarks ?
Every day we browse many websites and it is difficult to remember the websites names or URL's.Keeping this problem in mind web browser's developers make a function with the name of "Bookmarks" which is used to save the sites URL's and you can browse URL's for later use.But if you install new windows then the bookmark's will be deleted.Today the main Aim of this post is to teach you "How to backup and migrate your browser bookmarks".All browsers can import and export your bookmarks to an HTML file.So you can use this trick to move bookmarks between Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and any other browser.But in this tutorial we take backup of Google Chrome,Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer only.Let's start

How to Back Up Your Bookmarks of Google Chrome?


  • First of all Click on Menu icon at the top-right corner of your browser windows,click it and select Bookmarks manager.You can also quickly open the bookmarks manager by pressing CTRL+Shift+O.


  • Now click the Organize Menu and select Export Bookmarks to HTML file and to import you bookmakrs later,select the import bookmakrs from HTML file option.


  • Chrome will give a HTML file a name containing the current date of the system.
  • How to Back Up Your Bookmarks on Mozilla Firefox?


  • First of All Open you Mozilla Firefox.


  • Now click on "Show your bookmakrs" icon at the top-right corner of your browser windows,click it and select "Show all Bookmarks" option OR press CTRL+SHIFT+B.


  • Click the Export Bookmakrs to HTML option and select the path where you want to save your bookmakrs.


  • Firefox will give you the backup file a name of “bookmarks.html” by default.
  • How to Back Up Your Bookmarks of Internet Explorer?


  • Click the star-shaped favorites icon, click the little arrow to the right of Add to favorites, and select Import and Export.


  • Select the Export to a file option and click Next.


  • Check the Favorites checkbox and click Next.


  • Select the favorites you want to export – to export all your favorites, select the favorites folder at the top. (It’s selected by default.)


  • Provide a name for the file. It’s named bookmark.htm by default, but you may want to name it something like bookmarks_date.html. Click Export and IE will create a backup file.
